Shawheen spent the first 15 years of his life living in Tehran (Iran) where he learned flawless English from bootleg VHS tapes. Back then he believed in God until one day he saw Shakira, now he believes in Shakira. As a Zoroastrian, he was used to being a minority in Iran, so he assumed being one in America was going to be easy–it wasn’t. Shawheen integrated into American society as the world’s shortest pre-pubescent fifteen year old and became an artist because of that experience. He studied Film, Art, and Electronic music at UCSC because he wanted life after college to be a real honest-to-god challenge. And it was. These days he has a happy little life in Los Angeles.
